Your Voice Matters! What do you want to gain from negotiations?
Collective Bargaining Basics
No Union Dues until members ratifies a contract!

Congratulations! You and your co-workers used your vote to have a seat at the bargaining table. Now its time to lift your voices. As union members, you have the power to nominate a negotiating committee and shop stewards. The next step is to have a meeting to gather proposals to present to the company. Â Thank you for trusting BCTGM to represent you in the workplace.
Collective bargaining is the process in which working people, through their unions, negotiate contracts with their employers to determine their terms of employment, including pay, benefits, hours, leave, job health and safety policies, ways to balance work and family, and more.
BCTGM guarantees our members that Union Dues will not be taken out, until the membership votes in a meeting to accept and ratify the contract that was negotiated by the BCTGM representatives and your negotiations committee. If a situation occurs, you will still receive the benefits of union representation.
